The Position:
The position holder will be reporting to the Managing Director.
He/She will be responsible for operational efficiencies in order to ensure a competitive advantage for the company.
He/She will also be tasked with providing decision support on operational matters to the Managing Director.
Key responsibilities will be:
- Develop the company’s Operation Strategy
- Review the company’s Operations strategy and ensure its effectiveness
- Develop appropriate strategies that will promote the company’s operations and ensure timely implementation
- Oversee the Underwriting, Claims, Product Development, Customer Service and Premium Processing functions
- Develop a robust Reinsurance Program
- Put in place standards for the company and interdepartmental service level agreements that will improve the company’s service ratings
- Enhance operational efficiency for the Underwriting, Claims and Customer Service functions
- Ensure proper operating guidelines are in place in line with company policy and regulatory requirements and monitor compliance
- Set and monitor Operations Budgets
- Ensure that the underwriting policies reflect the company strategic risk management framework and are observed at all times
- Ensure that service to customers and producers meets their expectations
- Ensuring that the company’s procurement is cost effective, efficient and done professionally and in accordance with the company policy
- Support the company’s strategic plan by ensuring a reliable customer relationship management systems
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels, effective performance management and motivation of staff
The Ideal Candidate should have;

- Bachelors Degree in any related field.
- Full insurance/ ACII qualification
